Event Overview

2024 Ride to Time Championships will once again be held at the prestigious Moonee Valley Racing Club. Competitors will be treated to a full day of excitement and special surprises.

Saturday September 7 is a Group 1 meeting – Charter Keck Cramer Moir Stakes Day.

Maiden riders will compete first, followed by the Open competitors. Each zone is allocated a rider in each section. Unallocated positions will be filled by riders’ from across all zones based on performance.

Optimum riding times:

OPEN: 1000m aiming for 109 sec/1minute 49 seconds – 4 x 22 sec furlongs, and 1 x 21 sec furlong

MAIDEN: 1000m aiming for 120 sec/2 minutes – 5 x 24 sec furlong.

How to Qualify

Refer to the PCV Ride To Time Rules for full qualification requirements.

Of special note, please be aware of the following qualifying rule:

Riders must have achieved the C Certificate (unless exempt as per bylaw 34.11.a) by 1st August of the year the rider qualifies for the State Championships.

Awards

ZONE PARTICIPATION AWARD
Zones will submit the number of combinations that participated in the RTT qualifiers.
Each combination, for each session counts for 1 participation.

The zone who has the most participants throughout the season will be awarded the perpetual trophy presented at the State Championship event.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZES

Ribbons and trophies will be awarded for all places.

Each State Champion will receive a prize with compliments of Moonee Valley Racing Club. The prizes and their value will be at their discretion.
