HORSELAND State Championships 2012

HORSELAND State Horse Trials

The HORSELAND State Horse Trials Championships was conducted at Mornington Peninsula Pony Club, Baxter Park, Sages Road Baxter on the 5th & 6th May and a great weekend was had by all!  The course was challenging and once again Mother Nature likes to ensure we are all aware that Equestrian Sport is largely an outdoor pursuit!  A little bit of rain doesn't hurt anyone!  Congratulations to the Southern Metropolitan Zone for conducting a very successful State Championship, we hope you have all recovered.

Club Administration

Not-For-Profit Support Centre Website

The Office of the Community Sector launched their Not-For-Profit (NFP) Compliance Support Centre website, which is a one-stop shop for Victorian NFP organisations to help them comply with all levels of government regulations.

It's the first government web portal of its kind in Australia and is a single entry point for all regulatory information, licences, forms and related support materials, aiming to reduce the regulatory burden for community sector organisations.

National Championships 2013 - Western Australia

The Pony Club Australia National Championships will be hosted by Pony Club Western Australia from 26th September - 2nd October 2013. The Championships will be held at the WA State Equestrian Centre at Brigadoon with all events being held on site.

When WA hosted the Championships in 2005 the horses were transported by a commercial carrier and the riders went by plane. PCAV State Council is in the very early stages of planning and will post more information as it comes to hand.  Taking part in the Championships will be an expensive exercise but the experience gained will be immeasurable.

Riders who would like to be considered for selection for the Victorian Team should start recording their performances on the performance records designed for each discipline.  It is important that each rider collect the information set out on the individual discipline record sheets so Selectors can compare performances.

NMG Teams are selected via the squad selection weekend and Team selection weekend.
