NCAS Level 1

Enrolment Pre-Requisites

  • Candidates must be aged 18 and over on completion of the course
  • Candidates must be a current financial member of a Pony Club Affiliated through their State Pony Club Association, with pony Club Australia
  • Candidates must have attained a PCA NCAS Preliminary Coach qualification and completed a minimum of six months coaching experience in Pony Club
  • Candidates must have a knowledge of riding and horse management to C Level Pony Club and read the relevant reference material

     

How And Where To Apply

  • The Level 1 Course Material and all reference books are available through the PCAV Shop

     

 

Assessment

  • Candidates must purchase the Level 1 Course material and complete the workbook
     
  • Candidates must work with a mentor Coach to complete the coaching practice log book
  • Candidates undergo practical assessment coaching riders at C Certificate level conducted by State approved Assessor

Updating Information

  • Current coaches needing to update their expiring accreditation can download the Code of Ethics and Coaching activity sheets below, fillout forms and post with a $15.00 cheque made out to Pony Club Association of Victoria to PCAV 73 - 75 Mackie Road, Mulgrave 3170.
  • Coaches who were accredited under the 2004 scheme and have been expired for an extended period of time can download the updating policy below, complete the updating activities as outlined and post to PCAV with cheque as above.
