Gear Rules
Updated and effective 1 February 2013 The Gear Rules have been tidied up and updated for 2013 All changes and additions have been marked with a vertical black line in the right hand margin. 12 March 2013 - Please note that the Quick Check Guide on pg 41 has been ammended to read that spurs are NOT permitted for games, flat teams and musical ride - the main body of the rules states this which is correct
Gear Rules
Having the correct saddlery and equipment (gear) is an important part of pony club life. Riders, parents/guardians and gear check stewards all need to know what is required.
Note the differences between rally and competition requirements. Competition requirements must not be enforced at rallies.
There is only one source for gear rules and it is this rules book.
The quick reference guide is strictly for use at competitions as a handy reference. It is also available in a laminated version from the PCAV state office.
