Preliminary Notice of 2012 AGM and Conference

The PCAV AGM will be held on Sunday September 9 2012

The 2012 PCAV AGM will be held on Sunday September 9th at a venue yet to be confirmed - in or around Mulgrave.

Clubs are invited to send representatives to the Event and to submit Conference items. Attendance forms will be emailed to Clubs and posted to the website as soon as the venue and costs have been finalised.

The purpose of the AGM is to confirm the election of a President and one Vice President on even years, or one Vice President on odd years and a Zone Representative every year to the Council to replace those retiring.

In 2012 the position of President is vacant and current President Jan Faulkner has notified State Council she will not seek re election

The term of Vice President Vicki Kneebone is also declared vacant

All Zone Representative positions are for a term of one year, all positions are declared vacant and all Zone Representatives are eligible for re-election.

Voting forms for State President, State Vice President and Zone Representatives were sent to Club Secretaries on 25 June 2012

The criteria for those seeking Election as per the PCAV Rules of Incorporation CLICK HERE are as follows;

Nominees for Office Bearer positions must have held an Executive Position in a Club at some time but they need not hold such a position at the time of their nomination.

(d) Nominees for Office Bearer positions shall not be financially interested in the letting out of horses, or derive their main source of income from instruction in equitation or dealing in horses.

(e) Nominations for Office Bearer positions shall be made in writing signed by the Secretary of the nominating Club and countersigned by either the District Commissioner or the President of the nominating Club and be accompanied by the written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the form of nomination).

Nominees for Zone Representative positions must have held an Executive Position in a Club at some time but they need not hold such a position at the time of their nomination and must be nominated by a Club which is a member of the Zone which the nominee is seeking to represent.

(d) Nominees for Zone Representative positions shall not be financially interested in the letting out of horses, or derive their main source of income from instruction in equitation or dealing in horses.
